Warming Ethnic Colours!

With the weather here being {for lack of a better word} crappy over the past couple months, I cant help but pull together a luxurious and warm inspiration board.
Despite my love for cool, stormy colours, I cant help but dream of a getaway to India and the bright, warm colours that go with it.

I don't know if anyone else has ever stumbled across An Indian Summer before, but I love it and the wonderful Ethnic design inspired finds! {and, funnily enough is where I got most of my inspiration!}

Enjoy!

Americana- Nautical

So this is an American inspired boardbut it looks kinda nautical also. I guess my point is, you can do red white and blue without looking like a Independence day celebration. Yes it can be done.

Shoes of prey

Design your own dream wedding shoes!

I'm as so very excited to share with you a website that any woman in her right mind - provided she likes shoes - will hyperventilate over! When I can breathe I will explain...

O.K. here goes...

Shoes of prey allows you to design your own shoes using basic templates. I mean, you can choose colours, fabrics, shapes, heels etc, etc, etc!! How awesome is that!!

Their bespoke shoes cost $250 for ballet flats; $325 for 1½ to 3½ inch heels, $390 for 4 to 4½ inch heels and $455 for ankle boots and they will ship to little old NZ... And they do Gift vouchers! (prices valid at time of post)
So if you just cannot find the perfect shoes for your wedding, give them a go. Nothing could be more fun.

Here are a couple of pairs I came up with while I as playing and some styles from the gallery...

Swoon!

They Call Me Mellow Yellow.....

Quite rightly....

I have always been amazed at people who have had pretty yellow weddings. Not in a bad way, Just in an "Oh my word, how on earth did you pull off yellow so well" way.
It has always been a colour that scares me, mainly because I know I can never pull it off. Unless I had intended to look jaundice.

I have however put together a board for those of you brave enough to try yellow. How to do Mellow Yellow. Not Jaundice Yellow.

Try mixing a bright yellow with chocolate, olive and mustard for an earthy, fun palette.

Yellow and Charcoal fit well together for a modern Wedding.

How about yellow nail polish with your dress? Its super funky, yet understated if you don't want to go overboard with the yellow.

I am also head over heels in love with this Wedding Shoot. I want that bouquet!!!

And this one Paeonies, oh how I love thee!

And this DIVINE image from Kate MacPherson. I love the Idea of having candid photo's of you with your Maid Of Honour and Bridesmaids individually, since they are just as special as your New Hubby.
Lovely. =]
